Dayle Coe Head of Chapeltown Academy

Headteacher's Welcome

"As the new Headteacher at Chapeltown Academy I am extremely proud and excited to have the opportunity to work with the students in the local community and help mould them into successful and aspirational adults. The support they receive here helps all students to achieve their full potential and go on to the top universities in the country. Our ethos is firmly based around a strong pastoral care system recognised by OFSTED in the first inspection and a drive to inspire students to academic and personal success. I very much look forward to meeting many of you on our open days so we can show you our amazing facilities, dedicated and passionate staff and how we have achieved the incredible A level results this year.”

Dayle Coe, Headteacher

Debating Competition

4 of our current students attended a debating competition at Manchester University on Saturday 3rd Feb 2018. The students performed admirably debating about same sex schools, the advantages of financial over material aid, whether the media should have the right to publish the names of the dead in tragedies, whether the quality of, or length of life was more important.

What Our Students Say...

"Attending a Russell Group University, getting to study what I love, and ultimately being one step closer to achieving my dreams was something that during my GCSE years seemed unattainable, and I never could have imagined that I would be here today. Coming to Chapeltown Academy changed that, it really gave me hope that there was a future for me, and a chance to really get somewhere, and although there were a few wobbles in that faith, it was something that ultimately inspired me to carry on."
