Preparing for post-18

At Chapeltown Academy, we are focussed on preparing our students for the next stage of their journey. For most, this means going to university, others will pursue apprenticeships, or head straight to the world of work. Regardless, we want to make sure all of our students are both informed, and empowered so they can make the best choices for their own futures.

Of our first graduating cohort, 88% are off to university and 33% are heading to Russell Group University destinations.

For enquiries about HE, Careers and Guidance - please contact Amanda Southworth - Student Services Manager (asouthworth@chapeltownacademy.com)

Year 12 have introductory talks to Higher Education in January, and we have a careers evening after that, followed by lots of detailed guidance and support after the exams in June. In Year 13, it is a really busy time when the new academic year starts with personal statements being sent off and students preparing for interviews and admissions tests. We provide a detailed and close support programme for students applying to highly competitive universities and courses.
