Study and Assessment
The course includes 13 units: 8 mandatory (4 exams and 4 internal assessments) and 5 optional. Mandatory units cover lifespan development, working in care, anatomy, research, and more.

Post-course, options include apprenticeships, Level 4 Foundation Diplomas, university degrees in fields like Nursing or Social Work, or direct employment.

Entry Requirements
The Academy’s general entry criteria of a minimum of five 4s (including a 4 in English Language) at GCSE apply to study Health and Social Care at Chapeltown Academy. A grade 5 in a Science subject and a H&S Level Distinction is also needed.
